Yes, Huey has graduated! He took "the walk" last Monday. He looked SO good in his black pants, crisp white chef jacket and that tall hat that looks like a wastepaper basket! :) I am a very proud wife! It's been a hard 3 years, but we made it.
Huey's dad Mike and step-mom Donna, as well as his brother Will, Will's wife Christine, and their kids were all able to come up and support Huey. It was great to see everyone there!
Monday night we had our nephews come spend the night. They spent the evening playing video games and watching "guy" movies with uncle Huey. On Tuesday it was the nieces turn! Since Huey had to work on Tuesday, the girls and I pretty much had a girls night! We went to DQ for dinner, then came home and I painted their fingernails, and we watched some cutesy kid movie. We got a pretty big storm that night, and the girls got a little scared, but once I put on another movie and promised to stay with them til the fell asleep, they were fine! On Wednesday morning we all left for Vidor, to spend a few days with Huey's family.
On Wednesday we left with everyone else to go back to Vidor to visit for a couple of days.
It was nice to be able to visit with his family, whom we haven't seen since last November.
On Friday, Mike, Huey, Will, Tyler, me, and Benjamin all drove to Houston to this big gun store called Collectors Firearms. On the way back, we stopped and toured the Battleship Texas. It was pretty cool, I had never been to a battleship before!
